There are lots supplements out there that use “Phen” in their name. They are named after the dangerous but effective prescription drug Phentermine, once routinely prescribed for weight loss.
Today Phentermine is no longer handed out like candy by doctors, but this hasn’t stopped supplement manufacturers from focusing on the weight loss benefits and ignoring the very real health concerns of the drug. A diet pill with a “Phen” in the name is often shorthand for strong and dangerous.
Phentaslim appears to be an exception to this rule. This supplement does not contain any hidden or unknown ingredients and looks safe for most people to take.
Two of the principle ingredients in Phentaslim are green tea extract which combined with caffeine at the equivalent of a couple of cups of coffee per capsule, is a very good pairing for weight loss.
There is a lot of evidence to prove that this combination increases the metabolism and fat oxidation and with the high levels of antioxidants contained in green tea has real health benefits too.
Phentaslim also contains vitamins, minerals and amino acids, which will support weight loss as well as provide an added boost to health and energy levels.
One slightly controversial ingredient in Phentaslim is Panax Ginseng. This root extract is often taken as a supplement in its own right and seems to improve memory, physical stamina, and athletic endurance. It is also sometimes used to treat diabetes too. We say controversial because at high levels, it is dangerous but in safe amounts as here, it can provide a real boost to energy and increase feelings of wellbeing.
The final ingredients are cayenne – hot pepper extract that may have a thermogenic effect. It also contains Guarana – a natural South American berry which is an extra source of caffeine.
Overall Phentaslim looks pretty safe and judging by the ingredients seems as if it may help support weight loss in several ways.
